New Physical Star Wars Card Trader Set Announced

The trading card company Topps announced on Facebook that it would be releasing a collection of physical Star Wars trading cards this November. Previously, Topps Star Wars trading cards have only been available digitally through a downloadable app on Itunes and Google Play. The Star Wars Card Trader allows fans to digitally trade replicas of Topps' original Star Wars '77 cards collection, but also includes a Star Wars: The Force Awakens collection, a Galaxy Connexions set featuring characters from all around the Star Wars universe and an autographed High Tek Collector Cards set.

The new base physical set will feature 100 character cards with some brand new images included. The cards will include insert cards. These cards will have movie quotes, classic artwork and stills of the greatest moments in the Star Wars saga. There will also be the fan favorite "reflections" cards and the "Topps Choice" cards that feature the company's favorite minor characters.

The set can be used to unlock digital autographs from Star Wars actors on the app. Parallel cards can unlock exclusive digital cards in the app as well. There will be six trading cards per pack.

The Topps Card Trader has over 1,000 officially licensed Star Wars cards and the app gives users a free pack of cards every day. Users can trade cards with friends at all hours of the day and use features like 9-for-9 trading and use Trader Ratings to rate the reliability of fellow traders. Topps has cards from the original trilogy, the prequels, the Star Wars: Clone Wars animated series and the Star Wars Rebels animated series.

These cards look pretty slick and come with a lot of perks. It's pretty cool we're getting Star Wars trading cards in the physical world again, it's like we've gone back to the era of the original trilogy. What do you think of the trading cards? Will you be getting them come November?
