New Manga Chapters of Fullmetal Alchemist are Coming

For the first time in seven years, a new Fullmetal Alchemist manga is coming from the franchise creator herself, Hiromu Arakawa. We've recently seen a trailer for the live-action adaptation, and it gave us our first look at the series' popular characters such as Winry Rockbell, Roy Mustang, and the homonculi (Lust, Greed, and Gluttony).

Now, Arakawa has announced (via Comicbook) that she will be returning to her critically-aclaimed franchise. She has written a new Special Edition Manga, and the new book will be given to all attendees who watch the new live-action film, which is set to release in Japanese theaters on December 1.

Check out VizMedia's synopsis below:

In an alchemical ritual gone wrong, Edward Elric lost his arm and his leg, and his brother Alphonse became nothing but a soul in a suit of armor. Equipped with mechanical "auto-mail" limbs, Edward becomes a state alchemist, seeking the one thing that can restore his and his brother's bodies...the legendary Philosopher's Stone.

Fullmetal Alchemist will be released in Japanese theaters on December 1.
