With the oncoming release of Independence Day: Resurgence, the hype for the film is higher now more than ever.
The movie will be up in a few short weeks, so last week, the movie's marketing team released a load of posters that will get fans excited, showcasing the destruction of the world's most famous landmarks.
Now, IMAX has dropped an exclusive poster for its screens. While the recently-released posters from last week saw how the outer-space aliens can wreak havoc upon humanity, the IMAX poster shows that humans are fighting back. The poster shows a looming spacecraft about to descend upon Earth, but soldiers are patiently waiting for the aliens' descent, and it looks like they're ready and loaded.

The upcoming Roland Emmerich film reunites Jeff Goldblum and Bill Pullman with aliens from outer space who want to destroy humans' visually astonishing landmarks.
It may have taken long for this sequel to make, but Emmerich said during a May interview that technology simply couldn't catch up to his vision at the time. With advanced cinematic effects nowadays, hopefully his vision has been fully realized, and the movie won't simply be a success visually but narrative-wise as well.
Synopsis:
