New Extended Solo: A Star Wars Story Trailer Drops

Disney and Lucasfilm have released an extended trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story and it looks great. It's got everything a fan of the franchise could want, including new locations, new droids, new species, and maybe even a giant octopus monster. Either way, the trailer looks awesome and should ease those who were hesitant about the film's quality based on reports, at least until it hits theaters.

We get to hear Alden Ehrenreich as Han for the first time ever and he does a solid enough job. There were initially some fears about his casting, with some reports claiming that the studio needed to get an acting coach for him during production but he's solid. Hopefully, it remains that way in the actual film.

Aside from Ehrenreich, we also get more footage of Emilia Clark's character. She gets plenty of screen time in this trailer, though her character is still a bit harder to decipher. Donald Glover's Lando is also seen briefly and it will be neat seeing him in action, along with Woody Harrelson's character.

The world expansion might be the best part of the trailer, showing us technology, droids, and races we haven't seen before. Only time will tell if they're worthy additions to the Star Wars canon but adding to the franchise's world is always good.

Solo: A Star Wars Story comes out on May 25.
