New Aquaman Banner Shows Arthur in Classic Orange and Green Outfit

While DC fans are pinning their hopes on Shazam, which comes out next April, some people have hope for December's Aquaman. Looking like an interesting mixture between Thor and Black Panther, it could be the self-contained superhero movie DC needs after Justice League failed to impress in the box office. Some fans were a bit saddened when they saw Arthur Curry's costume, which is either his Justice League armor or plain pants.

However, a new banner for the film has revealed that Arthur might end up in his classic suit during the movie's events. This is clearly based on the Rebirth version of the armor, which keeps the orange and green colors but adds Jason Momoa's long hair and beard, so that's a nice compromise.

Some might think the colors are silly but it doesn't look too bad and comic book fans will admire how the movie tries to be faithful to the source material. His look in the banner is definitely a nice improvement over the usual gloomy looks we get from recent DC films.

Aquaman takes place after Justice League and will deal with Arthur becoming the King of Atlantis. To do so, he will have to take on his brother, who becomes Ocean Master, and the villainous Black Manta. The movie comes out on December 21, 2018.
