Netflix Is Giving Canceled Sense8 A Two-Hour Series Finale Episode

Sense8 fans were heartbroken when Netflix decided to cancel the popular science fiction drama series after the streaming service ran two seasons and a two-hour long Christmas special over the years. Following the lives of eight different individuals from around the world who are connected with one another through a sensate cluster, the series has gained a very strong following, and maybe didn't understand why Netflix would cancel the series. There's been a lot of clamor online, and it looks like the streaming site has finally heard fan's pleas to have a little bit more of Sense8 in their lives because it looks like the series is getting a two-hour long series finale episode for closure.

Using the official Sense8 Twitter handle, the series' production posted co-creater Lana Wachowski's letter announcing the good news that the show would be getting a two-hour long series finale episode expected to hit Netflix sometime in 2018.

With a finale episode on the way, Wachowski takes an optimistic tone, hoping that Netflix would give the series even more episodes seeing how strong the demand is for Sense8. However, it's also likely that Netflix is just giving the series a new episode out of pity and so that fans could get some form of closure, so let's not get our hopes up too high.

As fans, the best thing we can do now is request Season 3 on Netflix.

The series finale episode for Sense8 debuts sometime in 2018.
