Spoiler alert!
We already know that Oscar Isaac is playing an X-Wing pilot named Poe Dameron in Star Wars: The Force Awakens; we also know that there will be Blue and Red Squadrons in J.J. Abram's film. We've seen the black-and-orange X-Wing Fighter before. That will be Poe Dameron's ride, and the image above shows him walking away from it. According to Making Star Wars, Isaac's character is a natural leader.
The site also shared some info about Poe Dameron's fate by the end of the film. They reported:
"By the end battle, however, Poe Dameron is leading Black Squadron. Makes sense when you have a sexy black X-wing fighter. Black Squadron sounds pretty badass!"
In the Star Wars universe, the Black Squadron was the elite unit of TIE Fighter pilots working under Darth Vader's direct command. Darth Vader was called the "Black Leader".
Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be released in U.S. theaters on December 18.
