My Hero Academia Movie Gets New Key Visual

The third season of My Hero Academia continues to deliver fast-paced thrills and awesome action for each episode, so there is a lot of excitement for its first movie. While we're still waiting for a trailer, the latest issue of Weekly Shonen Jump has given us a new poster for the movie, called My Hero Academia The Movie: The Two Heroes.

In the key visual we see most of our favorites like Midoriya, Uraraka, Bakugou, and All Might, along with two new characters. These two are likely Melissa and her father David, two original movie characters, the former of whom will form a close friendship with Midoriya throughout the film.

Fans of the series know that Midoriya originally had no Quirk, this world's term for superpowers until All Might so his potential as a hero and gave him One for All. It seems like he will be seeing himself in Melissa, a child with no Quirks but seemingly wants to do good, which should make for some fun character development.

Continuity buffs should chill out since it was previously confirmed that the film would take place after the second season but before the third. This might not be important to the canon but it will be interesting to see what the movie will be like since it has a much bigger budget. The series seems to handle its budget really well, having some of the best fight scenes in an anime, so one can only imagine what this movie is capable of.

My Hero Academia The Movie: The Two Heroes comes out on August 3.
