My Hero Academia Gets Female-Centric Spin-Off Manga

My Hero Academia continues to be one of the most popular shonen anime around, thanks to a lot of fun characters, great pacing, and explosive action. The anime is currently in its third season and the stakes couldn't feel any higher, with All Might and All For One trading blows in, what might as well be the series' best fight scene.

The manga is ahead of course and is just as popular, if not more with fans who read that on a daily basis. This is why fans will be delighted with the news that a female-centric spin-off manga is in the works, featuring everyone's favorite female characters from class 1-A.

Apparently, the manga will be called Watashi No Hero Academia, which translates to My Heroine Academia. Preview art from the manga shows all the female characters we know and love, including Uraraka and Froppy.

It's not yet known if this will be a continuous series or a one-shot manga, though it is likely the latter. Focusing on the series' female characters is nice and all but they've played big roles in the regular series, not really being treated like an afterthought.

No release date for My Heroine Academia has been released. My Hero Academia can be watched in Crunchyroll and Funimation.
