Most Downvoted Star Wars Battlefront II Reddit Post Inspires New Mod

Though it was one of the most anticipated games of last year, Star Wars Battlefront II ended up being a PR nightmare, and the game currently sits as a shining mockery of EA's money-grubbing tendencies. When outcry for the game's lootbox system first came out, EA responded with:

"The intent is to provide players with a sense of pride and accomplishment for unlocking different heroes."

The message was one of the most downvoted posts on Reddit, and now a fan has made a mod that throws EA's comments right back at their face.

NexusMods (via ComicBook) has made a mod that marks every players lootbox with "Pride and Accomplisment." Check it out:

No description was provided for the mod, but it is just a simple tweak and easy to install. At least when you get a lootbox, you won't forget what all that grinding is supposed to be for.

As of now, the Star Wars Battlefront II community seems to be growing steadily, but after all of the backlash that came out last year, EA is struggling to get people to try out the game. I guess they'll just have to keep relying on sales and the lure of seasonal events. Hopefully the release of Solo: A Star Wars Story will provide us with some great expansion material.

Star Wars Battlefront II is currently available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
