Masashi Kishimoto Reveals His Favorite Female Character in Naruto

Masashi Kishimoto, the Japanese manga artist best known for creating the Naruto franchise, has revealed his favorite female character in his popular anime and manga franchise. When it comes to Naruto, the male characters like Naruto and Sasuke take the lead but there are female supporting characters like Sakura, Hinata, Ino, Tenten, and Tsunade among others, and now the creator himself revealed his favorite.

Sakura may be the first female character in fans' minds when they think of Naruto but Kishimoto's favorite is Hinata Hyuga.

Apparently, Kishimoto's opinion hasn't changed. Last December, during a celebration for Naruto at Jump Festa, he was asked about his preference, and here's what he said about Hinata:

"Female characters… it feels kind of creepy to say I like a character that I made. I like them all. But I like Hinata."

Back in 2015, Kishimoto also told fans at New York Comic Con about his favorite female character: "I'm kind of a little shy of having to mention a character that I myself created… Uhh… I guess maybe I should say Hinata. Yeah, I think I'll go with Hinata," Kishimoto told fans who attended his convention panel. When asked why Kishimoto preferred Hinata over other female characters, the artist laughed, saying, "I guess because she's not violent at all."

Hinata is my favorite female character in the Naruto universe too. So who's your favorite?
