Marvel’s Falcon Star Says Movie and Television Crossovers “Wouldn’t Work At All”

Marvel doesn't just have a strong line of films, it also has a growing tapestry of Netflix series that's set in the very same New York City of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Avengers. Fans have been hoping that Marvel would somehow work to bring the different television and cinematic realms together however it seems like The Avengers' Falcon star, Anthony Mackie, believes crossovers between the two still aren't possible.

Speakingat the Wizard World Cleveland (via ScreenGeek), Mackie revealed that fans shouldn't expect crossovers between Marvel movies and television series anytime soon.

"Different universes, different worlds, different companies, different designs. Kevin Feige is very specific about how he wants the Marvel Universe to be seen in the film world. It wouldn't work. It wouldn't work at all."

It's disappointing that Kevin Feige would be that apprehensive about bringing the MCU and the Marvel Netflix series together by having characters crossover – however there's still some hope. Mackie seemed to be talking about Feige being against bringing Marvel Television chracterers into the MCU, but that doesn't really mean that the big screen heroes can't head on and make a cameo in The Defenders or in any other Marvel Netflix series. Let's keep crossing our fingers.
