Marvel Pokes Fun At Batman v Superman in Spider-Man/Deadpool Comic

Warner Bros. is releasing the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition this week, and Marvel Comics took the chance to make fun of Zack Snyder's film and offered commentary on comic book films these days. In Spider-Man/Deadpool #6 by Scott Aukerman of Comedy Bang! Bang! and artist Reilly Brown, the two superheroes break the fourth wall to talk about the truth of today's superhero films.

The story is about a villained named Salmon Stuntman, who tells Deadpool that a studio is making a film based on his life. Deadpool asks Spider-Man for advice because he's been having a film made about him for years. They end up going to the sutdio to help them get to the right direction, but the studio doesn't listen. Instead, the studio ended up making a movie titled Nighthawk v Hyperion: Yawn of Boredom with the tagline "You won't believe their mothers share a first name." It turns out that Salmon Stuntman's evil plan is to replace all practical effects with digital effects. Comicbook.com shared some details on how the fight happened:

The fight involves stops by the sets of The Walking Dead,Jurassic World, and others. The stuntman is eventually revealed to be Donald Dryans, the actor hired to play Deadpool in the movie. He wanted to get the real Deadpool out of the picture so he couldn't ruin Dryans' "serious" movie with his fourth wall-breaking shenanigans. With Dryans arrested and the movie without a star, Spider-Man makes an impassioned plea for the studio to stick to the spirit of the character, and even suggests a very specific actor to play Deadpool."

That specific actor is Ryan Reynolds. This is hilarious stuff. You can read some panels from Marvel Entertainment below:
