Marvel Movies and Series May Still Crossover Someday

To say that Marvel's franchise is big and encompassing may be one of the biggest understatements yet. With Spider-Man: Homecoming and Thor: Ragnarok still lined up for this year, and the awaited crossover on TV via The Defenders and series like Marvel's Inhumans coming soon, it's going to be very different to get away from Marvel's superheroes wherever you look.

And, if Marvel Studios big boss Kevin Feige's new vision comes true, seeing some of them in the movies as a crossover or universe merging of sorts may actually be more possible now.

In an interview with iO9, Feige revealed that it's now possible to see a Marvel superhero who has his or her own TV show in the MCU.

"The future's a long time. So, the truth is, I don't really know, but there are a lot of TV shows being made, and hopefully we'll continue to make a lot of movies. At some point, there's going to be a crossover. Crossover, repetition, or something."

One potential here is that, if it's not a crossover with the same set of characters, they might go the DC route, where The Flash's actor on TV, Grant Gustin, is different from the one appearing in Justice League later this year, which is Ezra Miller.

While all of that is an exciting prospect, we have to remember that Feige did emphasize that this is riding on the future of Marvel Studios' movie-making trend in the future. We'll have to see if this success continues down the line, especially as older Avengers may have to say goodbye at some point to welcome in the new ones.
