Marvel Comics Introduces a New Supervillain: Donald Trump

A supervillain based off of presidential candidate Donald Trump was introduced in Marvel's Spider-Gwen Annual #1, reports Comics Alliance. The story by Chris Visions and Jim Campbell focuses on one of the many Captain Americas that exist in the Marvel multiverse, Samantha Wilson. The comic explores the alternate universe of Earth-65. In this version of reality, a Donald Trump look-alike is called M.O.D.A.A.K (Mental Organism Designed As America's King) and he plans to rule the world with hate and fear.

The comic takes a lot of shots at Trump, This version of him has a giant orange head encased in a robot shell and incredibly tiny hands, referencing a rant Trump went off on defending the size of his hands and other parts of his anatomy. The villain is also located near the border between the US and Mexico, where you can see a giant wall in the background. This is a reference to Trump's desire to build a wall between the United States and Mexico to keep out immigrants.

Supervillain Trump also attempts his catchphrase, "Make America Great Again" but is cut off by Captain America herself. The message of Trump's role in this comic is summed up by Gwen Stacy: "This nations anger and greed and fear are still very real."

The character doesn't only reference Trump, though. It's also a reference to another Marvel supervillain, M.O.D.O.K, (Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing). The villain first debuted way back in 1973 as a Captain America foe. Like this version of Trump, he has a giany head and metal body.

I found this parody pretty funny and I think it also touched on a real issue people in America are concerned with, namely where Trump's hardcore idealogy will lead. That makes it pretty relevant for a Captain America comic. What did you think of the parody? Do you want to see more or less of M.O.D.A.A.K?
