Marvel Co-President Shows Teaser for Avengers: Infinity War

Last week, it was reported that Avengers: Infinity War had been filming for a couple of weeks. With Spider-Man: Homecoming and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 done filming, it makes sense that it's the next film set to gear up for production. The film will be shot back-to-back with the fourth Avengers film, which is still untitled. We haven't seen any offiical images or footage yet, but Marvel Co-President Louis D'Esposito shared an interesting tease for the film on Twitter today. The tweet came with a photo of the cover of the Infinity Gauntlet comic series with a simple message:

It's interesting because the Infinity Gauntlet series was the first chapter in the line-wide crossover with Infinity War. It's possible that we might see both of these stories played out in the same film. The Infinity Gauntlet tells the story of Thanos finding the Infinity Gems (stones in the movies) for his titular glove and turning the Marvel universe upside-down, even killing a lot of heroes, so the remaining heroes must team up together with Adam Warlock to take him down, but they're not successful at first.

The Infinity War storyline continues later when Adam Warlock has erased the good and evil inside of him to become a being of pure logic.

Avengers: Infinity War is set to release in theaters on May 4, 2018, and the fourth untitled Avengers film will be released on May 3, 2019.
