Marvel Artist Jim Cheung Joins Scott Snyder For New Justice League Ongoing Series

After Dark Knights: Metal and No Justice, Scott Snyder will relaunch Justice League with a shiny new #1. There aren't many details about the series but a listing from Penguin Random House has given fans some new information. We now know who will be a part of Snyder's team and we know who will be illustrating the series.

The team is impressive, consisting of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg, Martian Manhunter, Green Lantern (John Stewart), The Flash, and Hawkgirl. What's even more impressive is that artist Jim Cheung will be illustrating their adventures.

(DC Comics/Jim Cheung)

Cheung is mostly known for his Marvel work, illustrating a number of acclaimed comics like Young Avengers, Amazing Spider-Man: Clone Conspiracy, and more. He even drew the banner image of Marvel's Fresh Start relaunch, so seeing him draw for DC Comics has piqued fan interest. Is he the latest talent to leave Marvel for DC?

Interestingly enough, artist Jorge Jimenez is listed as a writer alongside Scott Snyder. With Pat Gleason, Liam Sharp, and Francis Manapul also writing comics recently, it looks like Jorge Jimenez could be joining them. Then again, it could also be a mistake and Jimenez will be part of a rotating art team with Cheung.

Scott Snyder's Justice League has no release date yet, though it might come out in either June or July.
