Mark Ruffalo Teases Big Changes Coming For The Hulk in Avengers: Infinity War & Avengers 4
Even though the first footage from Avengers: Infinity War has been revealed, it's still hard to tell the roles the characters will have in the epic crossover event. For instance, we still don't know how The Hulk's story will transition from Thor: Ragnarok to Infinity War. It's expected that he will eventually join the Avengers again, but how will his character change?
At D23 this past weekend, Fandango recently talked to Mark Ruffalo and Don Cheadle about their Marvel characters, Bruce Banner/The Hulk and James Rhodes/War Machine and how they will progress as they head to Avengers: Infinity War.
Cheadle explained that War Machine eventually recovers from the injuries he got in Civil War, saying:
"Obviously at the end of Civil War, with what happened with War Machine, Rhodey's character has a lot to overcome. There's a progression to the movies, without being specific and telling you what it is, there's a progression and he gets back up."
Ruffalo went on to say that big changes are coming for The Hulk, starting in Thor: Ragnarok and the changes will carry on in Avengers: Infinity War and the untitled Avengers 4.
"There's a huge change for Banner and for Hulk. It isn't resolved in the first Infinity War, it sort of culminates into the second Infinity War. Thor 3 is the beginning of a lot of changes for Banner and for Hulk."
It's good to hear that the Avengers films will show The Hulk's character development, and it will probably flesh out Banner's character even more.
Avengers: Infinity War is set to release in theaterson May 4, 2018, and its yet-untitled sequel on May 3, 2019.
