Mark Hamill Teases "Mind-Boggling Plot Twist" in Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Mark Hamill signed a non-disclosure agreement to keep story details from Star Wars: The Force Awakens safe, so don't worry. No spoilers ahead, but he did mention a "mind-boggling plot twist" in the film.

The actor is currently shooting scenes for the video game Squadron 42 (Star Citizen), and during the interview with Games Radar, he revealed that he's a part of a huge secret, which is probably why Luke Skywalker was not included in the official posters, TV spots, and trailers for the film. He explains:

"It's crazy. This NDA stuff - non-disclosure agreement. Where you're not allowed to talk about stuff. I have something coming out, where there's an amount of money where if it leaks because of me, I don't get that payment. If I keep it a secret until the day it comes out, I get that payment."

He went on to use the example of how he was able to keep the secret of Darth Vader being Luke's father from his wife, and his co-star Harrison Ford, saying:

"The original line was, 'You don't know the truth, Obi Wan killed your father. And [Irvin Kershner] said we're going to take out that line and put, "I am your father."...It was a mind-boggling plot twist...Now it's happening all over again. I'm not even authorized to tell you that I'm in Episode VII."

You can watch his talk about it below:

There's a mind-boggling twist in The Empire Strikes Back, and now, there's another mind-boggling twist in The Force Awakens? So does that mean that history will repeat itself? Director J.J. Abrams recently said that it's no accident that Luke is missing in the trailer. You can read more about that here. So what do you think is the mind-boggling twist in The Force Awakens? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below.

We'll find out for sure when the movie comes out in theaters on Dec. 18.
