Man of Steel 2 Said to be Aiming for Release in 2020

It's been five years since the release of Man of Steel, and a lot of people are wondering if the DCEU is still planning on making any more Superman solo movies. Henry Cavill has been very open about coming back as the character, and rumor has it that Man of Steel 2 could be aiming for a release very soon.

According to sources from the El Fanboy Podcast, Warner Bros is slating the Man of Steel sequel to come out in 2020. Of course, we should take this information with a grain of salt now, but it does seem to be in a realistic timeline.

For now, the DCEU is working on films that will release for next year such as Wonder Woman 2, Birds of Prey, and Shazam!. Other pending movies are the Flash solo movie, Green Lantern Corps., and Suicide Squad 2. I imagine that Man of Steel could be very much in the works with the final cut ready to screen by 2020.

Though it's considered that every movie that this latest Superman has been in is divisive, a lot of fans agree that Henry Cavill is the perfect Superman—it's just a matter of putting him in the right movie. Hopefully new DCEU head Walter Hamada knows where to take this cinematic universe moving forward.

No release date has been officially announced for Man of Steel 2.
