Maisie Williams Accepts Award As Game of Thrones Wins Guinness World Record

Game of Thrones Season 5 broke a world record after episode 2 was broadcast in 173 countries simultaneously.

HBO's fantasy TV series beat the previous record which was held by CSI, who had broadcasted simultaneously in two countries just five weeks earlier.

Maisie Williams, who plays the assassin-in-training Arya Stark in the show, accepted the award on behalf of the series. As you can see in the image below, the 18-year-old star looks beautiful in her lilac lace dress.

"So pleased for Game of Thrones to be a part of Guinness World Records, I'm not going to tell my step brother as he gets the book every year for Christmas," she said via Twitter. "I can't wait to see the look on his face."

The 2016 edition of the Guinness World Records will be released on September 10.
