At the Magic: The Gathering World Championship today, Wizards of the Coast has revealed the new logo for their popular trading card game. This is the third evolution of the Magic's logo, and it will start to rollout on products and promotions on March 2018 with the release of the Dominaria set. However, this change won't affect the back of paper Magic cards.

"There is no current or future plan to change printed card backs," Wizards wrote."Or to take away your ability to collect and shuffle up cards from all sets and eras."

According to Wizards, the change of logo represents the evolution of the brand.
