Magic: The Gathering – Puzzle Quest Rolls Out Amonkhet Expansion

A new expansion has arrived for Magic: The Gathering – Puzzle Quest mobile game, and it's introducing some pretty hefty content.

Detailed over D3 Go's blog, the new update, MTGPQ 2.1.0, ushers in the arrival of Amonkhet, and with that comes the arrival of 155 new cards for the game. What's more, there's a new Planeswalker – Gideon of the Trials. The abilities here include Oketra's Initiates, Forged by Might, and Return from Exile.

There are also some new events for PvP and PvE. Those who will be playing here will have more options in the events to participate in to get even better rewards.

Among all the Magic: The Gathering expansions to the game Amonkhet's arrival marks the 74th expansion to date. However, it's the first for Amonkhet's block, which opens up the Ancient Egypt to the game.

Of the 155 cards included in the update, 10 of these are Masterpiece cards. There are a couple of card abilities, including some interesting ones like Embalm, Exert, and Cycling, each of which have particular uses and associations. Finally, there are three events that players can get into:

Trial of Zeal: a PvE coalition challenge
Trial of Strength: a PvP coalition challenge
Trial of Ambition: weekday PvP event for the Amonkhet set and will have Amonkhet-based objectives.

The developer has also rolled out a long list of bug fixes, including a fix for the tiebreakers, card balances and functionality fixes for this round.
