Mads Mikkelsen Got Lost By Hideo Kojima’s Explanation of Death Stranding

Though there's been a lot of excitement surrounding Hideo Kojima's highly anticipated open world action videogame Death Stranding, there's been a lot of mystery and confusion surrounding the game as well, irritating fans to some extent.

Though Kojima and Kojima productions released a couple of eye-catching trailers for the first videogame that the renowned Metal Gear creator has decided to work on ever since parting ways with Konami, the premise of the game remains as vague as ever. Kojima has offered no explanation to Guillermo Del Torro's disappearing infant (or anything else) and though the game director did try to pass on the plot of the game to Mads Mikkelsen, the actor couldn't catch on because it was too "elaborate."

Speaking in Jeddah at a Saudi Comic Con, Mikkelsen gave a brief talk abut his work on Death Stranding and what he and Kojima discussed while working on the project.

"He was trying to tell me the whole plot of the game." Mads said. "And it's so elaborate that… I mean, I got lost. But I really wanted to learn more."

The actor then continued talking about the art of motion capture and Kojima's new workplace after separating from Konami. It's quite a shame how Kojima's explanation left Mikkelson a bit lost – so many were looking forward to a concrete story tying the enigmatic Death Stranding trailers together. Guess we'll just have to wait.

Kojima promises to have Death Stranding debut sometime before 2019.
