Mad About Thundercats? Wait Till You See The New Scooby-Doo

Not long after the Thundercats Roar debacle, we might just have another one with Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? a new animated series with radical new character designs that might anger older fans. Unlike Thundercats however, this will not be a Cartoon Network program but a part of the all-animation streaming service Boomerang.

The concept of this new Scooby-Doo cartoon is actually similar to the older cartoons, as it has Scooby and the gang team up with various celebrities to solve mysteries. Fans will remember how one of the older cartoons had Mystery Inc. team up with older celebrities as well, including the Harlem Globetrotters and Adam West's Batman.

Will that be enough to ease fans into the newer character designs though? Admittedly, these designs aren't as simplified or controversial as the ones seen in Thundercats Roar, but they are still wildly different. Since this is a comedy it might work but we will have to wait and see.

A lot of fans might be upset but keep in mind that the show is being aimed at children. Plus, the simpler animation style can lead to smoother sequences in the show so this could actually be interesting.

No release date has been revealed for Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? It will also be joined by a new Flinstones cartoon.
