Lynda Carter Spotted on Wonder Woman 2 Location

Patty Jenkins had wanted the original Wonder Woman Lynda Carter to make a cameo in the first Wonder Woman movie, but her plans never pushed through. With the sequel in the works, Jenkins was said to have finally gotten Carter onboard, and Carter has been spotted on the set of Wonder Woman 2.

As per Heroic Hollywood, the Wonder Woman sequel is currently shooting in Washington DC, and Carter has been spotted during a sports event. Since Carter lives nearby, a lot of people are writing it off that her presence was simply a coincidence, but it has been noted before that director Patty Jenkins wanted to cast Carter in some way in the film.

With the sequel, Diana is now jumping forward to the 80s and will have Wonder Woman in America during the end of the Cold War Era. Though I would prefer that the DCEU push its movies forward in the timeline, I'm still kind of interested in this period piece approach. It's curious that the MCU is also doing a period piece to introduce their female hero, Captain Marvel.

Besides having Carter onboard, Jenkins was also said to have wanted to incorporate the original Wonder Woman theme in the movie. It would have been a hard sell to have it in the first film, but with the 80s setting, I think it could appear in a more organic way.

Wonder Woman 2 is set to come out Nov. 1, 2019.
