Lucasfilm Digs Up Crazy 1980 Star Wars Fan Theory Saying Jedi Are Clones Of Jesus

There's a lot of crazy Star Wars fan theories out on the internet. There's one that suggests that Qui-Gon Jinn is actually a secret Sith. Another one thinks Han is a Force sensitive smuggler but doesn't really know it. There's even a recent theory that says the mysterious Supreme Leader Snoke might actually be a shriveled version of the despised Gungan, Jar Jar Binks.

Now with so many wild theories swimming around the Internet, Lucasfilm Story Group creative executive Pablo Hidalgo has decided to share a theory that's been around since 1980 claiming that the Jedi are actually clones of The Son of God.

Beside all the misspellings in the vintage article Hidalgo posted in segments on Twitter, the paper goes on explaining that Luke and the villainous Darth Vader are clones created by the Jedi – the Jesus Eugenics Development Institute. Boba Fett is Luke's father nicknamed "Roberta," "him," and the other "other" that Yoda mentioned to the ghost of Obi-Wan Kenobi in the original trilogy.

Meanwhile, Obi-Wan is actually OB-1-a, a clone of Jesus Christ. Check out the different bits of the theory Hidalgo shared down here:

It's a very confusing theory that barely makes any sense, but being pitched half a year after the premiere of The Empire Strikes Back, it goes to show how creative Star Wars fans' imaginations can be, even before the rise of the internet.

Let's see which new fan theory beats this one. We're pretty sure more are going to crop up after the premiere of Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits cinemas on December 15, 2017.
