LucasFilm Narrows Down Snoke's Identity By Talking About His “Humanity”

Lucasfilm left fans with a whole lot of question about the mysterious Snoke when the studio released The Force Awakens last, last year. The leader of the First Order ‘s identity has been kept a secret even until now and while theories about Supreme Leader Snoke continue to circulate the internet, there hasn't been that much official word on the villain just yet.

Now, posting a snippet from The Force Awakens' novelization on Twitter, Lucasfilm Story Group member Pablo Hidalgo sheds some light on the mysterious Force Order figurehead. Captioning it with, "I guess this question has come up. Snoke's humanity, as described in the novelization of The Force Awakens," the extract from the novel gives fans a clearer idea of what Snoke actually is.

"Seated on the raised platform that was the focus of the chamber was the blue-tinted holo of Supreme Leader Snoke.Tall and gaunt, he was humanoid but no human…"

There have been numerous speculations that Snoke is actually a wizened version of Emperor Palpatine, however this new tidbit crushes all theories that Snoke is actually human into teeny-tiny bits. This means that the First Order leader may actually be something entirely new. We'll have to wait and see when The Last Jedi hits the big screen.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi premieres on December 15.
