Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 Gets Story Trailer, DLC Based On Infinity War, And More

New story details for Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 have been revealed via a new trailer that was first shown at NYCC, with narration from the telepathic dog Cosmo. Classic Avengers villain Kang the Conqueror has captured a number of worlds and forcibly merged all of them into one mega city, where he rules with a not immortal iron fist. Naturally, it's up to the Marvel heroes and a ton of their alternative counterparts to save the worlds.

It's actually very similar to the recent Secret Wars event by Jonathan Hickman and Esad Ribic. Doctor Doom has just been replaced by Kang, with no mention of the X-Men or Fantastic Four despite being in the first Lego Marvel Super Heroes. Marvel is hoping to compensate with a lot of new characters like Ms. Marvel, Spider-Gwen, The Inhumans, and much more.

The trailer also teased some of the DLC that will be coming to the game and they might excite pretty much any Marvel fan. Future DLC will be based on the next batch of Marvel films: Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, and Ant-Man and Wasp. Fans will get to play new missions based on these movies, which has the potential to be exciting. Lego Marvel's Avengers had similar DLC, letting players go through missions inspired by Ant-Man, Civil War, and Doctor Strange.

Fans of the classic Guardians of the Galaxy will be happy to know that they will be playable if gamers pre-order the deluxe edition of the game. We get to see classic Yondu with his bow and arrow, so expect even more classic Guardians to be a part of the DLC. Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 comes out next month on November 14.
