LA Startup Company Plans To Cheat Death Using Clones And Human Consciousness

A Los Angeles-based startup company named Humai is planning to make the impossible possible. It wants to achieve eternal life by placing people's consciousness into clones.

According to Humai CEO Josh Bocanegra (via the company website), they aim to bring dead people back to life with artificial intelligence and nanotechnology for data storage.

They will collect

…conversational styles, behavioral patterns, thought processes and information about how your body functions from the inside-out. This data will be coded into multiple sensor technologies, which will be built into an artificial body with the brain of a deceased human. Using cloning technology, we will restore the brain as it matures.
Will death always be inevitable? We don't think so. HumaiTech.com

Bocanegra says his company will be able to achieve the first human resurrection in 30 years.

During an interview with Australian Popular Science, the self-proclaimed serial entrepreneur, technology visionary, and internet marketer explained the process further.

He said Humai is currently developing apps that will store the data from members, years before their deaths. After they die, the company will freeze the members' brains cryogenically. The brains will then be placed inside artificial bodies after the technology has been fully developed.

The artificial body functions will be controlled with your thoughts by measuring brain waves. As the brain ages we'll use nanotechnology to repair and improve cells. Cloning technology is going to help with this too.

Despite only four staff members on board, Humai remains optimistic. The startup plans to take in more staff in the following months, Tech Spot reports.

According to Bocanegra's website, he founded the dating app LoveRoom prior to Hunai. The Airbnb-Meets-OKCupid app allows two people to see find out their romantic compatibility by living together for a week.

Hunai hasn't provided any specific details when it comes to the technology they're planning to use, which seems pretty ambiguous in my opinion. We could be having clone replicas in the far future, but not 30 years.

It looks like the company is waiting for scientific breakthroughs that are yet to come. But who knows? This could be the launchpad for the creation of stormtroopers.
