Kylo Ren Could’ve Had A Shaved Head In Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Star Wars: The Last Jedi had some drastic changes to some characters, one of which was Kylo Ren ditching his helmet from The Force Awakens. What we didn't know, however, is that Kylo almost looked like Vader in another way.

Thanks to Phil Szostak's book The Art of Star Wars: The Last Jedi (via Games Radar), come concept art showed that Kylo Ren could've been bald in the movie. Though I think the look would have made the character look more menacing, I think the story needed Kylo to still be a bit sympathetic.

Besides that, Kylo's master Snoke was already bald. Someone needed to keep some variety around the First Order.

The rest of the costume looks intact though, what with Kylo ditching his tattered cape and hood for a more formal cape. Some part of me wished we got more backstory on it though. A lot of speculation was guessing that Kylo had procured a cape from the old castle of Darth Vader from Mustafar (as seen in Rogue One).

Besides all that, The Last Jedi has been given a lot of sparkling reviews. I'm actually looking forward to Rian Johnson's new trilogy this time around. With him saying that it would go places the franchise hasn't before, I'm hoping we get less on the Jedi and more on the Starfighter pilots and smugglers.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is now out in theaters.
