Kevin Feige Said to be Fighting to Keep James Gunn in Marvel Studios

James Gunn has been on the center of the news ever since he was fired by Disney from working on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. As it turns out, Gunn has someone fighting to keep him on board, and that's Marvel head Kevin Feige.

According to Jeremy Conrad of MCU Cosmic, rumor has it that there is a lot of internal struggle ever since Disney fired Gunn, and Feige was absolutely furious that it happened.

It's only understandable as well, since Vol.3 wasn't just supposed to close the Guardians franchise, it was also supposed to set the tone for Phase 4 of the MCU. No wonder Feige would be pissed off that Gunn would suddenly be removed.

For now, it looks like Disney is settling to keep Gunn's script for the third movie, but no news yet on whether he's going to be re-hired. If Justice League taught us anything, we should let Gunn finish what he started or else we're going to get years of people asking for the Gunn Cut of GOTG Vol. 3.

Will Gunn get re-hired? Hopefully Disney makes up their mind soon.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was aiming for a release in 2020.
