Kevin Feige Is Excited To Bring The X-Men To The MCU

To the surprise of absolutely no one, Kevin Feige is very excited to get the X-Men back if or when the FOX/Disney deal pushes through. Feige had actually worked on the first three X-Men films as a producer, and would definitely want to introduce them to the MCU somehow. This was when superhero films were still hit or miss since he also produced some of the lesser Marvel films like Daredevil and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

Deadline discussed what a combined Disney-Fox powerhouse would look like, bringing up how Feige is very eager to use the X-Men. It will be interesting to see how these characters will be incorporated into the MCU, assuming Marvel doesn't reboot the entire mutant-verse. Furthermore, one has to wonder what will happen to the R rated X-Men films like Deadpool, it's sequel, Logan, and the upcoming Multiple Man project with James Franco.

Marvel's Kevin Feige has an almost unblemished track record for success in superhero movies at Disney, and he lent his magic to resuscitating Spider-Man in partnership with Sony. He's said to be eager to get his hands on the X-Men universe — Fox has Deadpool 2, New Mutants, Dark Phoenix, Gambit, X-Force and the James Franco-starrer Multiple Man all on the assembly line — and cross-pollinate the rich swarm of characters with the existing Marvel franchise heroes who show up in each other's films.

Having the Avengers team up/clash with the X-Men is a no-brainer since the two teams are arguably the most popular superhero groups Marvel has. On the other hand, how would an R rated anti-hero like Deadpool fit into the mix? Would Disney also want to make more experimental superhero films like next year's New Mutants? The possibilities are endless, but they're also a bit scary.
