Kevin Feige Feels Happy For Wonder Woman And Shoots Down Marvel vs. DC Rivalry

There's always been a fierce rivalry between Marvel and DC fans. From time immemorial, members of both camps have been constantly trying to best each other, debating which movie, which hero, which universe is better than the other. Now, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige douses the debate by saying that there really isn't a rivalry between both studios.

Speaking with AlloCine in a Facebook Live Interview, Feige not only praises the DC Extended Universe's Wonder Woman, he also denies the so called rivalry Marvel has with DC.

"There's not really a rivalry. The rivalry is much more amongst the press, I think. Geoff Johns is a very good friend of mine. We grew up together in the business and recently celebrated Richard Donner, who we both used to work for. So, I applaud all the success he's had. I really just look at it as a fan. When the movies perform well and are well received, it's good for us – which is why I'm always rooting for them."

"The success of Wonder Woman is wonderful. It makes us incredibly happy. Finally, we can put to rest the falsehood that audiences don't want to see female characters. We never believed that was true. There were a run of movies that just weren't very good 10-15 years ago that caused that reputation. I'm glad that Wonder Woman has blown that away."

Feige's response to the "rivalry" between Marvel and DC mirrors the way stars from both studios respond to each other. Though fans have taken a very possessive and catty stance towards their preferred studio, the people from Marvel and DC are both pretty supportive of each other's endeavors. Hopefully this helps quell the fire between both camps.
