Kevin Feige Explains The Absence Of Sif In Thor: Ragnarok

There might be a lot of excitement over Thor: Ragnarok, but some fans are a bit upset that Lady Sif ( Jaimie Alexander) hasn't appeared in any of the film's trailers and television spots.

Now, in an interview with Screen Rant, Kevin Fiege is asked where Sif has been hiding off to and while the Marvel Studios president doesn't really give a clear answer to the publication, he admits that he has been pestered about the whereabouts of the Asgardian warrior.

"You're the second person to ask me that question today, and I will quote Maz Kanada from Star Wars: The Force Awakens: ‘That is a good question for another time,'" Feige tried to bat the question away.

However, in an interview with CinemaBlend, Feige got a bit chatty, and the Marvel President ended up giving away Sif's location.

"What has Loki been doing on that throne in guise of Odin? And we always liked the idea that he was doing a good job! He was doing a good, but shortsighted job. The trains were running on time, but he wasn't paying attention to anything else going on in the universe or in the realms. ... So that was always one idea," Feige admitted. "And the idea that he would have to get rid of Heimdall, because Heimdall can see everything. That was an idea - and probably the Warriors Three, to discount them... which is probably an answer to a question I've been asked a few times today: Sif was probably banished. She's off somewhere."

Marvel fans might not to be happy that Sif has been sent off out of Asgard. A lot of fans were hoping that the warrior would get a larger role the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but instead she was displaced by Jane Foster (Natalie Portman). Now, Sif is being set aside again, this time for Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson).

Hopefully we'll get to see more of Sif in the MCU. Thor: Ragnarok premieres November 3, 2017.
