Kevin Feige Debunks Rumors Of Doctor Strange Cameo In Spider-Man: Far From Home

Doctor Strange might have a pretty close relationship with Spider-Man in the Marvel comics, but that doesn't mean the Sorcerer Supreme will be making an appearance in Spider-Man: Far From Home. Not even if Mysterio is going to be the Homecoming sequel's main villain.

Speaking with Slashfilm, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige decided to be straightforward and address the rumors that Marvel's going to have Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange appear in Far From Home to counter the fake magician Mysterio.

"I could be coy about it," Feige said when asked about the potential of seeing the Sorcerer Supreme in the Homecoming follow-up. "but no...I don't wanna get people excited. But Benedict and Holland have liked the idea of working together."

Spider-Man star Tom Holland and Cumberbatch have had a lot of scenes together in Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War, so it stands with good reason that the two would like to work together again. Unfortunately, it seems like Feige is adamantly debunking the rumors of a Doctor Strange appearance in Far From Home. Feige usually isn't as straightforward as this, but then again Far Away From Home just began filming in London and the Marvel Studios head just probably wants to make things clear while production continues.

Spider-Man: Far From Home premieres on July 05, 2019.
