After the surprise hit that was Deadpool, 20th Century Fox is now working on the sequel which is slated for a release next year. Rumors had been recently going out that Kerry Washington is being eyed for the role of Domino, and the actress has commented on the possibility of her taking the role.

According to ExtraTV, Washington said:

"I don't have anything to say about that. Of course I would, but of course you have to get the right person for whatever role."

Since Washington neither confirmed nor denied the rumors about her being considered for Domino, it's possible that the news that had come out could be partially true. Washington is the third actress to be connected to the role after Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Sienna Miller had supposedly passed on the project.

Aside from Cable, Domino can be seen as an occasional collaborator of Deadpool in the comics. She's a mercenary, who is also a member of the X-Force, and her powers allow her to alter probability — simply put, she can control "luck."

No official cast members have been announced for Deadpool 2 — other than Ryan Reynolds — and the movie is rumored to start production this coming May.

Deadpool 2 is slated for a release on March 2, 2018.
