Justice League: Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor Reportedly Not In The Movie

Of all the bad things to appear in Batman V Superman, the worst of them had to be Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor. While Eisenberg is a talented actor, his version of Lex Luthor was considered a butchering of the classic comic book character. Though he essentially teased the main threat of Justice League at the end of Dawn of Justice, it looks like we won't be seeing Luthor in the movie.

According to a tweet from Batman News, Luthor has not appeared in any of the current screenings of the movie. The website has managed to ask some of the attendees if the Superman villain would appear, and the answer a big no. It looks like Warner Bros took the character's criticism to heart, even though it seemed like he would be playing a role in the movie somehow.

Some fans might be disappointed at Lex's exclusion, but they are definitely in the minority. Luthor's character from Dawn of Justice was unbearable, acting nothing like his comic book counterpart and just being an annoying presence throughout the film. It can be argued that Eisenberg tried, but the material he was given did not work and it felt like the creators were trying to make an amalgam version of the Joker and the Riddler.

Justice League is slated for a November 17 release. Will you miss Lex Luthor? You really shouldn't.
