Justice League: Jesse Eisenberg Still Listed In Official Cast

Jesse Eisenberg's Justice League status has been up in the air ever since the movie started filming. Reports say that the actor was in Zack Snyder's original cut of the film, but was later removed from the version Joss Whedon worked on. More confusion might rise now since the official Warner Bros site lists Jesse Eisenberg as part of the film's cast.

Eisenberg's Lex Luthor rubbed many fans the wrong way since it was nothing like previous incarnations of the character and was a little too similar to Joker or Riddler. It's easy to see why he would be removed from the sequel, given all of the negative responses towards the performance in Batman V Superman. Still, Eisenberg's name in the cast list does raise a few questions.

It's possible that he is still in the movie, but his role has been lessened significantly. Perhaps the official Warner Bros website isn't fully updated with the current cut of the film, so it still lists all of the members from Snyder's original version. With the movie coming out in a month, fans will be able to see for themselves if Eisenberg's Luthor will be making an appearance.

Justice League is slated for a November 17 release. Aquaman, Batman, Cyborg, Flash, and Wonder Woman are confirmed, along with Superman. We will see if Lex Luthor is part of that list.
