Justice League Gets New Logo and a Fun Flash

DC's superhero movies may not be the most anticipated right now, thanks to the critics' reception of Suicide Squad. However, things might be looking up for future DCEU movies, starting with Justice League and The Flash.

For starters, it seems that DC is looking to streamline the movie with a more unified and cohesive style to the logos. The new logo now has a similar feel as to the logo of Suicide Squad, Comic Book Movie reported.

From the looks of it, the metallic and rather battered finish does look the part of a team that will be facing some tough enemies moving forward. Now the question is whether this means the slant is going more towards a serious, darker approach as was first seen in Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Streamlining it withSuicide Squad has its issues for me. For one, it makes me wonder if Suicide Squad will still play a part in the overall DCEU movies moving forward. As it stands now, the reception of the movie doesn't bode so well in the first place.

Still, something I am actually looking forward to is The Flash. From Ezra Miller's interview with MTV News, it seems that this is the movie will actually bring out the "fun" feeling this time around. Miller, who takes on the role of the red speedster, shared that the film will be a source of humor for the DCEU.

"I think there's just an intention to make something extremely fun and something superhuman and something deeply human."

Granted, The Flash still has a long way to go in terms of production, since Miller himself is in the middle of shooting for the Justice League movie. But the fact that humor is a main mix in the speedster solo movie is reassuring in many ways.

Miller has also confirmed that he has done readings with co-star Kiersey Clemons, who will be playing the role of Iris West, Barry Allen's friend and girlfriend/wife in the comics. The most he's willing to divulge is that it's something that Miller himself is very excited when it comes to creating The Flash as a movie.

Justice League will be out in theaters on Nov. 17. 2017. It stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, and Ray Fisher. The Flash solo movie is set later on in March 2018.
