Justice League Cinematographer And Stuntman Wants A Release Of Zack Snyder’s Cut Of The Movie

Though Zack Snyder has the sole credit of directing Justice League, a lot of fans have agreed that the movie ultimately felt more like Joss Whedon's. A fan petition has started asking WB to release Snyder's cut of the movie, and even members of the crew are going online to support them.

Cinematographer Fabian Wagner told THR:

"This one was even shorter than I expected, so there are scenes that aren't in there. I really hope we get to see a director's cut, which will give us everything that we shot that didn't make it in. What I love about his [Snyder's] director's cuts is they are long, but he takes his time to tell the story. I've never watched any of his directors cut and thought ‘This is long.' Whether they are three hours long, or three hours and ten minutes, they always seemed to go quick."

Ben Affleck's stunt double Richard Cetrone has also said this about the fans asking for Snyder's cut of the movie:

"So I probably should have written this when I put up this post, but I want to make it clear now. I have nothing against Joss Whedon. I have worked with Joss on multiple projects and I think he is a great director and he's very easy to work with. I also have enjoyed Danny Elfman's music for years going back to Oingo Boingo. So I agree with the cause, but not everything the person who wrote out the petition is stating. I posted it because I want to support my friend and do what I can to see that his version is released. You might say that is going to happen anyway, but that is not necessarily true. And if it does happen people should know that it is his version. When B v S "extended cut" was released that was actually the "Director's cut" and in my opinion that's how it should have been released."

I have to agree with Wagner on his critique on Snyder's films. Though they could be long, you never really feel it since Snyder carefully takes his time. I can be watching the ultimate cut of Watchmen and not feel 2 hours go by. Then again, I'm guessing WB wanted to pander to a more mainstream audience, and a three-hour movie might be too much of a commitment.

Will we get a director's cut? It seems that there's a lot more that we're not seeing, and a lot of fans can notice it when they watch the film. Hopefully the fan petition—which has amassed more than 70,000 signatures—will get WB's attention.
