Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Trailer Will Come Out This Thursday

[UPDATE] A representative from Universal has e-mailed us that the trailer for Fallen Kingdom will not be arriving on Thursday. No date has been given on when it will be released, but a good guess is it will come out before the year ends.

The original article is as follows:

Colin Trevorrow's Jurassic World was one of the highest grossing movies of 2015, and the sequel is set to come out sometime next year. We already had a teaser with Chris Pratt playing with a baby raptor, but now we have confirmation that the first trailer will be arriving within the week.

Check out the announcement:

Titled, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, we still have no idea on the full story of the sequel, but the short synopsis does give us a bit of backstory on Chris Pratt's character Owen:

Ex-military man Owen Grady encounters terrifying new breeds of gigantic dinosaurs.

Besides the return of Pratt and leading lady Bryce Dallas Howard, a lot of hype is building up to the return of everyone's favorite Chaos theorist Dr. Ian Malcolm played by Jeff Goldblum. We don't know how much of the movie Malcolm will actually be in, but hopefully he'll be as significant as Han Solo was in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Though there was some criticism to be had in the first movie, I thought that it was actually a fun romp, and the success was actually what lead to director Trevorrow getting the directing gig for Star Wars Episode IX. Of course, everyone knows he's been fired from that movie, but he's still attached to Fallen Kingdom as a producer. J.A. Bayona will be taking the helm this time around.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is set for a release on June 22, 2018.
