Jurassic World 2 First Photo And Details Center On Volcanic Island Escape

Universal is rolling out Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom's very first trailer this week and to prepare fans for the film's first preview, the studio's decided to release the very first details about the Jurassic World sequel.

Along with a brand new First-Look photo, Entertainment Weekly has concrete information about Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom's story. Taking place several years after everything that happened in Jurassic World, the film features a dinosaur island escape. An erupting volcano is threatening the safety of the creatures on Isla Nublar, and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard), who now runs the Dinosaur Protection Group, has to find a way to save the dinosaurs on the island.

Meanwhile, Claire and Owen's (Chris Pratt) relationship seems to fall by the wayside in The Fallen Kingdom. The two finally got together by the end of Jurassic World, but given that several years have passed since the movie, we're not certain about the status between the two in The Fallen Kingdom. Of course, knowing that Owen played an important role in Jurassic World, we're bound to see a whole lot of him as he tries to help Claire and her team in the film's sequel.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom hits cinemas June 22, 2018.
