With Eddie Brock merging with his Symbiote's offspring, it is technically his child as well. While it's undeniable that the plot in Venom: First Host #3 has taken quite a bit of a weird turn, there's a much more disturbing revelation as the story progresses.

As Marvel's symbiotes produce more offsprings, one of these could have stood out as Venom's "true child".

Sleeper, who Brock and his symbiote Other created, has returned in Absolute Carnage. It was said that Sleeper left Earth to gain control of an ancient Kree. Although his return made it obvious that this symbiote has a secret and fans might have seen right through it.

Sleeper was last seen in Venom: First Host #5 by Mike Costa and Mark Bagley. A series that tells about the very first host of the Venom symbiote named Tel-Kar. He was quite an unsuspecting character, but being a Kree soldier led him to use the symbiote with evil intentions. This was eventually stopped by Sleeper.

Kree soldiers used Klyntar as weapons to shut down their brain functions, so they can't be considered as actual symbiotes. Humanity was saved because Sleeper made a decision to do the same, he forced a merge with Tel-Kar.

"I lobotomized him", says Sleeper as he explains it to his father, Eddie. He then adds, "He made my parent his mindless servant". Sleeper thinks that what he did "seemed like fair play".

He then mentions how he was kept in a cage his whole life. And since Tel-Kar's body is strong and his mind has "depths of knowledge and memories", he decided to see what was "out there". Assuring his father that he did his best, he says that he doesn't "need a cage anymore".

Although it seems like what Sleeper did was vengeful or wrong, it could be forgiven since he defeated a very hated character such as Tel-Kar who could have taken advantage of him if not defeated.

Fans of the First Host are in for a surprise as Donny Contes and Iban Coello added some juicy stories to the plot. When Sleeper rescued Brock's son, Dylan, he revealed its host without hesitation.

It turns out that Sleeper doesn't know everything about symbiosis since Tel-Kar became a corpse. It's possible that the symbiosis worked for some time, with the evidence of Tel-Kar's long hair growing whilst inside of him. But this merge might have turned out to be an unwilling symbiosis, an unbalanced merge between a symbiote and a lobotomized host.

Seeing as Sleeper resulted in some kind of disgusting monster, he proved to be someone who's willing to do anything remotely possible. Fans might not be fond of what Sleeper turned out to be but hopefully, he could make a great comeback for his character.

Venom #18 is now available to purchase from Marvel Comics.
