Star Wars: The Mandalorian recently made its debut along with the launch of Disney+. The show will explore the story of Pedro Pascal's bounty hunter, all the while referencing parts of the Star Wars universe. That being said, the first episode already did this with a surprise ending of the pilot episode, which could lead to a story in The Rise of Skywalker.

If you recall, the titular bounty hunter along with IG-11 was tasked to track a target. Once they found the location, they were able to find a pod that the target is allegedly in. And as it turns out, the target was actually baby (not) Yoda or someone of the same species. Different races have unique aging processes, so the baby inside the pod was actually said to be 50 years old.
Since the Mandalorian didn't end up killing the target (and actually shot IG-11 in the process), this suggests that the baby is will be very likely, an essential part of the story as it progresses. But it could also show up in The Rise of Skywalker.
According to a theory by Inverse, this baby could offer some help to the heroes in taking down Palpatine in Episode IX. If the baby were to appear in TROS, he would only be about 80 years old by then. The outlet says the baby could be similarly skilled with Yoda since Yoda actually became a Jedi Master when he was 100 years old.
To make it short, even though they admit that it sounds ridiculous, the outlet is suggesting that the Sith Lord could be defeated by an "alien Yoda teenager." And since far more weirder things have happened in the Star Wars franchise, this theory isn't unlikely to happen.
