Loki is one of the most anticipated shows to arrive on Disney+ yet very little information is known about it. There have already been a few rumors surrounding the show in terms of character appearances, and a new one suggests that the Squadron Supreme will reportedly be featured in it as well.

In a recent report from Bleeding Cool, the outlet claims that Loki's production team has been "ordering all manner of material, with the common thread being the appearance of the Squadron Supreme." Aside from that, nor further information was mentioned.

For those who aren't familiar with the Squadron Supreme, they are an original team created in the late sixties. Made by Roy Thomas and John Buscema, the group is derived from the parallel dimension supervillain team called the Squadron Sinister. Both teams are said to be based on DC's Justice League characters.

The Squadron Supreme has made a few appearances on the pages of Marvel comics. They were also featured in Mark Gruenwald critically acclaimed limited series. A recent iteration of the group was in the 616 reality, which is comprised of characters from alternate universes. Whilst the Squadron Supreme of America was created by Thunderbolt Ross and Phil Coulson as an alternative to the Avengers.

If they were confirmed to appear in the show, it isn't clear as to what version will be making an appearance. For now, this is still considered a rumor and fans should take this with a grain of salt. In the meantime, fans could only wait for further details, but since production has already started, there could be some updates that'll be revealed anytime soon.

Loki is set for release on Disney+ in the Spring of 2021.
