Production for The Matrix 4 is currently underway and a couple of set photos and videos have already made the rounds online in the past few weeks. Fans already got their first look at Keanu Reeves' Neo for the sequel in a more casual look, but a new video sees the star sporting the character's trademark long coat.

In a set video shared by NBC Bay Area, Reeves is seen wandering an empty street at night. There seems to be a light rain or a mist shower occurring in the scene which correlates to two important instances throughout The Matrix films. One would be where Trinity removed a tracker bug from Neo's body as well as he and Agent Smith's final confrontation in the third movie. The rain could hint at a possible failure in the Matrix and might be one of the things that resulted in Neo's unexplained return.

While Reeves is wearing the iconic long coat as he did in the previous movies, his look as Neo for this sequel would be quite different. Just like his look for John Wick, Neo seemingly has long hair and a beard, plus, the coat isn't actually the trademark leather garb, but you get the idea.

Though the set video doesn't reveal much of what's going to happen in the film, this scene could indicate that it might take place after Neo's fight with Agent Smith. Since Neo was one of many "The Ones," there are tons of possibilities as to what this scene might lead to.

The Matrix 4 is set for release on May 21, 2021.
