Star Wars fans are all caught up with Baby Yoda fever ever since the character was revealed in the pilot episode of The Mandalorian. Since then, people can't seem to stop talking about the baby. The surprise character is definitely adorable, but it seems like it's a bit too much to handle for the show's composer.

Speaking with Collider, Ludwig Goransson recently talked about his experience of scoring every episode of The Mandalorian from scratch. At one point in the interview, the outlet asked Goransson what it's like to write music for the adorable creature, to which the composer responded, "It was probably one of the most difficult parts of the musical language."

He explained that his initial thought was to make the music have a little bit of a Star Wars feel since Goransson thinks the baby is the character closest to the franchise. He recalled that early on, he thought of making a Star Wars sounding theme for the baby since The Mandalorian is tying to the Star Wars universe after all.

However, the show's creator, Jon Favreau, kept telling Goransson, "Hey, no, no." This is because Baby Yoda is "already visually so overly cute" and making the music cute as well, will be "too much." The composer admitted that Favreau was "very adamant" for the show to be told musically through the Mandalorian's perspective.

Goransson then went on to describe how the music shows the Mandalorian's thoughts and point of view. "It's what puts his facial expressions on screen because you don't see his facial expression," he explained. Since Mando is wearing a helmet on all the time, Goransson ought to tell the audience what his expressions mean through the music.
