The Falcon and the Winter Soldier had its fair share of production delays amid the coronavirus pandemic. Star Anthony Mackie previously revealed that there's only "very little stuff to do" to wrap up filming. Now, things are looking bright with the upcoming Disney+ series set to resume shooting soon.

According to a recent report from Variety, the head of the film commission of the Czech Republic has submitted a letter to Hollywood, assuring them that the European Union ban on U.S. citizens won't apply to those working in the film and TV production sectors. Pavlína Žipková, head of the Czech Film Commission noted in the letter that "filmmakers of all nations are welcome."

The head of the film commission hosts The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, amongst other projects. Žipková adds that there will be a procedure to guarantee "smooth cross-border transportation" of the U.S. filmmakers.

While this is a glimmer of hope for both the crew and the fans, there's no specific date revealed as to when the cast would resume filming. However, the outlet claims they'll return to Prague in the "coming months."

With Black Widow's release date pushed back, there's a lot of anticipation for the Disney+ show, especially since it's now set to kick off Phase 4 of the MCU. It's good to know that the film and TV sector have been given the exemption to continue on with production. Hopefully, everything's smooth-sailing till then.
