The recently released The Batman trailer gave our first official look at Colin Farrell's Penguin. Everyone was pretty much in shambles over whether or not that's actually the actor's transformation until the makeup artist Mike Marino stepped in and finally confirmed it. And as it turns out, Commissioner Gordon actor Jeffrey Wright didn't recognize Farrell too.

In a recent interview on Sirius XM's The Jess Cagle Show, Wright talked about seeing Farell as Penguin on The Batman set. "I've worked with that makeup artist before and it's just incredible," he said. "Colin walked on to set one day and I walked right passed him [laughs]."

"I was like ‘ok, hey dude what's happening, where's Colin are we going to shoot,'" the actor continued. "It was, it's pretty remarkable."

Aside from that funny interaction on set, Wright's comment suggests that his character, Jim Gordon, as well as Farrell's iconic Penguin, could be sharing a scene together. With the Dark Knight himself ready to take down his foes, it's interesting to know that Commissioner Gordon could end up crossing paths with one of them. How this came to be is still up in the air, and sure enough, fans are excited to found out as well.
